Language and Literacies in a 21st Century World (3 cr)
This entry phase, first-tier writing instruction course introduces all incoming students to the areas of critical inquiry and social responsibility informing LAC's core curriculum. This course emphasizes reading and writing and the connections between them by incorporating a coordinated set of common readings on the writing process. Students will learn how thinking and the language that conveys it develop and change through a writer's process of drafting, revising, editing, and proofreading.
Note: this is an Information Literacy-intensive course.
