Request Library/Research Instruction
The USM librarians teach approximately 120 instructional sessions each semester. Whether your class needs an overview of how to find books and scholarly articles, or more advanced instruction, we welcome you to schedule instruction. You can schedule a session from our Instructional Services page or just call Bill Grubb, Head of Reference & Information Literacy Programming at 780-4672.
We look forward to working with you.
What Should We Order?
Due to lack of funding the library cannot order new titles now, but FY 2010 may provide the opportunity to order a few new titles. We need the help of faculty members in building an effective print and online collection.
Faculty are asked to search ChoiceReviews or GOBI for reviews of new and forthcoming titles for possible order from the department's library funds. Jim Ford serves as the Chemistry liaison to the library and he recieves GOBI updates.
You may submit your order here for review prior to ordering. Note: the library does not order textbooks. Books normally arrive within 6 weeks.
