Biography
Called the "father of the preservation movement" John Muir believed in the ideals of Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson. He traveled throughout the US and was influential in creating Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. In 1892, in San Francisco, he founded the Serria Club and became its first president.
