Biography
William E. McKibben was born in 1960. A Harvard graduate and former writer for New Yorker Magazine he is an environmentalist and has been a freelance writer since 1987. He is also University of Southern Maine's Gloria S. Duclos Convocation Speaker on Environmental Sustainability. (From Environmental Encyclopedia 2nd Edition 1998)
